Ruko Sawabe

Jewelry designer and goldsmith Ruko Sawabe has spent over 15 years crafting fine, one-of-a-kind pieces. A 2001 graduate of the Japan Jewelry Craft School, she refined her skills in Tokyo studios specializing in intricate wax modeling and custom fabrication. Since moving to Canada in 2002, Ruko has created over 500 custom works and collaborated with studios such as Lynn Robinson Gallery and INZ Jewellery. Now accepting private commissions and exhibiting selectively, her work reflects the timeless elegance of traditional Japanese temple architecture.

Lissa Fonseca

Periliss Design is the brainchild of Lissa Hobcraft Fonseca, a GTA-based jeweller and self-described magpie.  Lissa is a graduate of VCC’s Jewelry Art and Design program in Vancouver, BC specializing in bespoke pieces and limited-edition collections.  Lissa uses both traditional goldsmithing methods and modern tools, combining her love of technology with a passion for design.

Lissa believes jewellery should not only be seen, but also feel comfortable against the skin, be tactile, and be a delight to wear.
